Solar Energy

April 17th, 2015

Solar energy popularity won’t be going away any time soon, a new poll confirms.

Conducted for Sungevity by Wakefield Research, the survey polled 1,000 US parents’ attitudes regarding solar and alternative energies. The results found that 81% of parents wanted to live in a solar powered home and 67% wanted solar to be a primary energy source by the time their kids are adults. Respondents stated that going on an energy diet would be harder than going on a food diet, showing Americans aren’t highly likely to decrease their energy use and proving alternative energies are necessary to reduce nonrenewable energy use.

95% of parents believe it’s their responsibility to teach their children about alternative energy sources, in order to create a better environment for future generations. They want to look back in 20 to 30 years and feel like they made a difference.
